Frei Road Vineyard is located near the village of Graton in the rolling hills south of the Russian River. The vineyard has been farmed by the Martinelli family for three generations.
Purple in color. 15.4% ABV. Sensational nose of red fruits, flowers and white pepper. Medium body with ample acidity. Fresh and vibrant with bright fruits. Raspberry liqueur, boysenberry, smoke and barbecued meats on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish with silky tannins. The nose is the highlight here but this wine is delicious and well made. Best over the next 3-5 years.
My rating: 91 points.
Dehlinger Winery has a great reputation among wine connoisseurs. Wine writers have consistently given strong reviews while praising the winery for its uniqueness, quality, consistency and value. About 75% of their wine is sold via the mailing list. Amazing wines that are well worth the search.
