Sleight of Hand was founded in 2007 by Jerry & Sandy Solomon and Trey Busch. The formula at Sleight of Hand is high quality wines from Washington’s most exceptional vineyards. Sleight of Hand produces a full range of red and whites and without question has one of the top few tasting rooms in both Walla Walla and SoDo.
From 40 year old vines at French Creek Vineyard.
Gold colored. 13.9% ABV. Super nose of tropical fruits, lemon, vanilla and Asian spices. Medium to full body with bright acidity. Lemon meringue, green apple, pears and vanilla on the palate. The finish is long and spicy. Trey has consistently crafted one of the top Chardonnay in WA state and this wine is no exception. Best over the next 2-3 years.
My rating: 92 points.
The wine is attractively priced at $28 via the winery and retail.
I’m not a big wine club guy but if I had to pick one from Washington, Sleight of Hand would be near the top of my list.
