Bedrock Wine Co. was founded by Morgan Twain-Peterson in 2007 and focuses on small production wines from many of California’ s most treasured and historic vineyards. The lineup of wines at Bedrock is expanding rapidly, but I think the best of the best are the ancient vineyard Zinfandels, Morgan is clearly passionate about.
Served at Morgan’s wedding this wine is a blend of 2 barrels each of Bedrock, Old Hill Ranch and Pagani Ranch. All of these vineyards were included in my Top 10 Old Vine Zinfandel Vineyards.
Purple in color. 14.5% ABV. Sublime nose of black fruits, cocoa and earthy. Full bodied with mouth watering acidity. Big and bold with rich, voluptuous fruits. Black cherry, blackberry, chocolate truffles and a hint of pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Awesome wine that will show well for years to come. Best over the next 4-6 years.
