Bedrock Wine Co. was founded by Morgan Twain-Peterson in 2007 and focuses on small production wines from many of California’ s most treasured and historic vineyards. The lineup of wines at Bedrock is expanding rapidly, but I think the best of the best are the ancient vineyard Zinfandels, Morgan is clearly passionate about.
Limerick Lane Vineyard is just south of Healdsburg at the end of Limerick Lane. The vineyard was planted around 1910. I previously wrote about the vineyard in Top 10 Old Vine Zinfandel Vineyards.
Bright crimson in color. 14.5% ABV. Brilliant nose of red fruits, licorice and pepper. Medium body with mouth watering acidity. Bursting with bright, juicy fruits. Cherry preserves, raspberry liqueur, baking spices and pepper on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Really delicious Zinfandel that lacks the concentration for a long run in the cellar. Enjoy this one over the next several years.
