Bottle Notes

2021 Goodfellow Pinot Gris Willamette Valley – Bottle Notes

Goodfellow Family Cellars is owned and operated by Marcus Goodfellow. The winery is situated in McMinnville in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Founded in 2002, and producing approximately 4000 cases annually, the focus is on old vines sourced from some of the top vineyards in the state.

Sourced from Resplendor Vineyard.

Golden in color. 12.5% ABV. Lovely nose of lemon, melon and grass. Full bodied with perfect acidity. Lush, fresh and crisp. Pear, lemon oil, green apple and minerals on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Incredibly refreshing on a warm Summer evening in Seattle. A great value at right around $20. Drink with abandon this Summer.

My rating: 91 points.

Goodfellow wines are most easily obtained via the mailing list but you may also see select bottles at retail in the Pacific Northwest. I do hope to visit on my next excursion to Oregon wine country.
