Bottle Notes, Pinot Noir

2021 Crossbarn Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast – Bottle Notes

Paul Hobbs established Crossbarn in 2000 to honor his family’s farming heritage and values of farming sustainably. What began as just one small lot of cabernet sauvignon from the inaugural vintage gradually evolved to introduce chardonnay and pinot noir.

Ruby red in color. 14.1% ABV. Savory nose of red fruits, forest floor and flowers. Medium body with medium acidity. Rich and earthy with dark fruits galore. Black cherry, black raspberry, baking spices and morels on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Really unique and exceedingly delicious. Give this a little time in the cellar and drink over the next 4-6 years. $40 at the winery and retail.

My rating: 93 points.

Review based on a sample provided by the winery.

Crossbarn is located in Sebastopol and accepts visitors. The best way to obtain the wines is via the mailing list. I look forward to following the winery in the years to come.
