Bottle Notes, Pinot Noir

2016 AldenAlli Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast – Bottle Notes

AldenAlli is a collaboration between the families Dan Kosta and Emeril Lagasse. The winery is named after their wifes Alli Kosta and Alden Lagasse. The initial release was a 2013 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. In 2015 the lineup expanded to include a single vineyard Pinot Noir from Campbell Ranch and a Zinfandel from Limerick Lane Vineyard. More Pinot Noir and a Chardonnay have been added as well. Shane Finley is the winemaker at AldenAlli.

The Sonoma Coast is a blend from Campbell Ranch, Gap’s Crown and Sunchase vineyards.

Bright red color. 14.1% ABV. Stunning nose of red fruits, cola and cloves. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Bright, fresh and vibrant. Cherry, strawberry, pomegranate and sarsaparilla on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Delicious Pinot Noir that could not be easier to drink. Super wine that will be at its best over the next several years.

My rating: 93 points.
