2019 Fattoria Selvapiana Chianti Rùfina – Bottle Notes

Fattoria Selvapiana is situated in Chianti Rufina which is the smallest appellation in Chianti. Since 1997 Selvapiana is run by Federico and Silvia, Masseti. The property extends over 250 hectares of which 58 are planted with vines.

Light red in color. 13% ABV. Vibrant nose of red fruits, leather, anise and asphalt. Medium body with strong acidity. Light, fresh and appealing. Fantastic at cellar temperature. Cherries, herbs, tobacco and earth on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Delicious and easy to drink. Best over the next several years.

My rating: 89 points.

This wine is widely available, well made and a great value. What more can you ask for?
