Bedrock Wine Co. was founded by Morgan Twain-Peterson in 2007 and focuses on small production wines from many of California’ s most treasured and historic vineyards. The lineup of wines at Bedrock is expanding rapidly, but I think the best of the best are the ancient vineyard Zinfandels and Field Blends, Morgan is clearly passionate about.
The Schmeidt Road Zinfandel is a blend of 78% Kirschenmann and 22% Katushas’ Vineyards.
Crimson in color. 14.6% ABV. Charming nose of red fruits, peach and flowers. Light to medium body with ample acidity. Delicate and feminine. Cherry, salmonberry and spice on the palate. Medium length on the finish. Easy to drink but I generally expect more from a Bedrock Zinfandel. Best over the next 1-2 years.
