Cameron Winery is dedicated to producing high-quality, hand-crafted and sustainably-farmed libations for the people. Cameron is a small family operation, producing 3,000 to 4,000 cases annually. John Paul, the irrepressible owner and winemaker emeritus, founded the winery in 1984.
Sourced from Abbey Ridge, Clos Electrique, La Colina and La Sierra Vineyards.
Ruby red in color. 13.5% ABV. Charming nose of red fruits, citrus, roasted herbs and rose petals. Medium body with mouth watering acidity. Deep, rich and lush with earthy fruits. Cherry, cranberry, shiitake mushrooms and minerals on the palate. The finish is long and supple. A great representation of the Dundee Hills AVA that is aging effortlessly. Best over the next 2-3 years.
My rating: 93 points.
The 2024 version of this wine was recently released and can be found for $35-$40.
I’ve never visited Cameron but hope to do so on my next trip to the Willamette Valley.
