Bedrock Wine Co. was founded by Morgan Twain-Peterson in 2007 and focuses on small production wines from many of California’ s most treasured and historic vineyards. The lineup of wines at Bedrock is expansive, but I think the best of the best are the ancient vineyard Zinfandels, Morgan is clearly passionate about.
Nervo Ranch is situated in Alexander Valley and dates back to 1896. Its oldest blocks are a unique patchwork of red and white varieties once used for the now extinct Nervo Winery’s “California Burgundy.”
Purple in color. 14.5% ABV. Heady nose of black fruits, plums, mint and pepper. Full bodied with ample acidity. Big, rich and grapey. Dark cherry, blackberry, earth and cracked black pepper on the palate. The finish is long and spicy. Delicious and easy to drink but lacking the structure of the best Bedrock field blends. Drink over the next 3-4 years.
