Bottle Notes, Pinot Noir

2015 Anderson Family Vineyard Pinot Noir – Bottle Notes

Anderson Family Vineyard was founded by Cliff and Allison Anderson over 20 years ago. The winery is situated in the Dundee Hills of Willamette Valley and specializes in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Ruby red in color. 13.3% ABV. Charming nose of red fruits, baking spices, citrus and forest floor. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Rich, fresh and earthy. Cherry, cranberry, blood orange and minerals on the palate. The finish is long and lush. Outstanding Dundee Hills Pinot Noir. My first opportunity to try this producer and the wine did not disappoint. I’ll look for more recent vintages. Best over the next 2-3 years.

My rating: 92 points.

The winery is open by appointment for tastings and is still accepting members for their mailing list and wine club. I’ll certainly visit on my upcoming trip to the Willamette Valley.
