Bedrock Wine Co. was founded by Morgan Twain-Peterson in 2007 and focuses on small production wines from many of California’ s most treasured and historic vineyards. The lineup of wines at Bedrock is expansive, but I think the best of the best are the ancient vineyard Zinfandels, Morgan is clearly passionate about.
Nervo Ranch is situated in Alexander Valley and dates back to 1896. Its oldest blocks are a unique patchwork of red and white varieties once used for the now extinct Nervo Winery’s “California Burgundy.”
Crimson in color. 14.5% ABV. Sublime nose of juicy red fruits, citrus, baking spices and flowers. Medium to full bodied with perfect acidity. Claret style with elegant fruits and tremendous texture and balance. Raspberry, cranberry, blood orange and pepper on the palate. Nice length on the finish with drying tannins. Well made in an old school style. This will drink well for years to come.
