Bottle Notes, Pinot Noir

2020 Goodfellow Pinot Noir – Bottle Notes

Goodfellow Family Cellars is owned and operated by Marcus Goodfellow. The winery is situated in McMinnville in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Founded in 2002, and producing approximately 4000 cases annually, the focus is on old vines sourced from some of the top vineyards in the state.

Sourced from Whistling Ridge, Durant, Temperance Hill, Shea, Fir Crest and X Omni Vineyards.

Ruby red in color. 13% ABV. Stunning nose of red fruits, earth and flowers. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Light and delicate with fresh upfront fruits. Cherry, strawberry, earth and minerals on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Fantastic Pinot Noir that bodes well for the single vineyards wines from this vintage. Best over the next 3-5 years and a great value at a little over $30.

My rating: 92 points.

Goodfellow wines are most easily obtained via the mailing list but you may also see select bottles at retail in the Pacific Northwest. I do hope to visit on my next excursion to Oregon wine country.
