Bottle Notes

2017 Passione Divina – Bottle Notes

Passione Divina is the first wine ever produced by two wineries located in Italy and the USA. Azienda Agricola Campochiarenti is located in Siena and Rabbit Ridge Winery is located in Paso Robles. Passione Divina means Divine Passion and 2017 was the first bottling of this wine.

Crimson in color. 14.4% ABV. 70% from Tuscany and 30% from Paso Robles. Presumably Sangiovese from Tuscany and Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc from Paso Robles. Rustic nose of red fruits, blood and leather. Medium body with mouth watering acidity. Fresh, tart and approachable. Cherry, cranberry, blood orange and herbs on the palate. Medium length on the finish. You have to admire the concept here. Delicious and easy to drink. Best over the next 3-5 years.

My rating: 90 points.

The wine is available at the winery and retail for $30

As an aside this wine was a gift from a close friend to pay off a long standing baseball bet. Better luck next year Cindy!
