2019 Brady Vineyard Zinfandel – Bottle Notes

Brady Vineyard is located in Paso Robles, California. Don Brady is the owner and winemaker. The 24 acre vineyard was planted in 2001 overlooking the Estrella River. The winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.

Until about this time last year I had never heard of the winery before but was intrigued when the 2018 Zinfandel was one of the top 20 wines of the year at Wine Enthusiast.

Purple in color. 15% ABV. Savory nose of black fruits, plums, earth and flowers. Medium to full bodied with medium acidity. Rich and lush with dark fruits in spades. Nicely balanced, Claret style Zinfandel. Black cherry, blackberry, cocoa and pepper on the palate. The finish is long and supple. Really delicious and easy to drink. Best over the next 3-5 years.

My rating: 93 points.

I do not see an option to buy this wine directly from the winery although they might be able to help if you give them a call. I bought this on Wine.com for under $20 and at that price will be going back for more. I don’t know much more about Brady Vineyard but do look forward to purchasing their Zin in the years to come.
