Buying Wine

Killer Deals on Wine.com

I had never shopped on Wine.com but some killer discount codes were brought to my attention that were too good for me to pass up. The codes WINEABR1 and WINEKB1 both give the buyer $100 off on a $300 purchase. The wine itself must total $300 as opposed to the total order amount after shipping and handling.

I used one of the codes right before Thanksgiving and picked up a bottle each of 2014 Spottswoode Cabernet Sauvignon, 2016 Isole e Olena Cepparello and 2016 Bucklin Bambino Zinfandel. The 3 bottles came to $306.97. My $100 off code brought the price down to $206.97. After tax and shipping my all in cost was $247.65. Considering Spottswoode is hard to find under $175 I was thrilled with this purchase.

I have another order sitting in my shopping cart right now for 3 bottles each of 2016 Felsina Chianti Classico Riserva, 2016 Alto Moncayo and 2017 Domaine St. Damien Gigondas La Louisiane 2017. After my $100 discount the 9 bottles will total $214.91 before tax and shipping. Hard to go wrong at that price.

I did notice that wines that end in a price of .97 are excluded from the offer. Unfortunately for this reason I had to pass on the magnum of 2016 Beaucastel. C’est la vie.

If you take advantage of this offer please leave a comment below and let me know what you purchased. Happy hunting!
