Bedrock Wine Co. was founded by Morgan Twain-Peterson in 2007 and focuses on small production wines from many of California’ s most treasured and historic vineyards. The lineup of wines at Bedrock is expanding rapidly, but I think the best of the best are the ancient vineyard Zinfandels, Morgan is clearly passionate about.
Sodini Vineyard is on Limerick Lane in the Russian River Valley and was planted in 1905. Morgan has leased and farms the vineyard.
Crimson in color. 14.5% ABV. Pretty nose of red and black fruits, plums and pepper. Medium to full bodied with perfect acidity. Exceptionally rich and supple with a tremendous core of sweet fruit. Black cherry, boysenberry, raspberry liqueur and pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Super Zinfandel from an under appreciated vineyard. Best over the next 2-4 years.
