2018 Chalk Hill Chardonnay Sonoma Coast – Gold in color. 14.1% ABV. Charming nose of apple, toast, vanilla and citrus fruits. Medium to full bodied with nice acidity. Super texture and mouth feel. Pears, lemon oil and vanilla creme brulee on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Delicious and easy to drink. Best over the next several years. $15 at the winery and retail. My rating: 91 points.

2017 Chalk Hill Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast – Ruby red in color. 14.4% ABV. Fantastic nose of dark fruits, baking spices and forest floor. Medium body with perfect acidity. Well balanced. Black cherry, black raspberry, vanilla and earth on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Really well made Pinot Noir. Enjoy now or cellar for 2-4 years. Attractively priced. $15 at the winery and retail. My rating: 92 points.

Reviews based on samples provided by the winery. Both samples were half bottles. Expect to pay $30 for a standard bottle.
