2015 Sleight of Hand The Sorceress – Bottle Notes

Sleight of Hand was founded in 2007 by Jerry & Sandy Solomon and Trey Busch. The formula at Sleight of Hand is high quality wines from Washington’s most exceptional vineyards. Sleight of Hand produces a full range of red and whites and without question has one of the top few tasting rooms in both Walla Walla and SoDo.

60% Grenache from Upland Vineyard and 40% Syrah from Les Collines Vineyard.

Crimson in color. 14.3% ABV. Savory nose of red and black fruits, olive brine, game and flowers. Medium body with perfect acidity. Dark, brooding and concentrated. Cherries, blackberries, blood and minerals on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Fantastic Grenache that deserves to be in the conversation for one of the better examples of this variety from Washington State. Best over the next 2-4 years.

My rating: 93 points.

I’m not a big wine club guy but if I had to pick one from Washington, Sleight of Hand would be near the top of my list.
