2017 Sleight Of Hand Syrah Levitation – Bottle Notes

Sleight of Hand was founded in 2007 by Jerry & Sandy Solomon and Trey Busch. The formula at Sleight of Hand is high quality wines from Washington’s most exceptional vineyards. Sleight of Hand produces a full range of red and whites and without question has one of the top few tasting rooms in both Walla Walla and SoDo.

100% Syrah from Lewis Vineyard in the Yakima Valley AVA and Les Collines Vineyard in Walla Walla AVA

Purple in color. 14.7% ABV. Savory nose of black fruits, bacon fat and olive brine. Full bodied with strong acidity. Dark and brooding. Black cherry, blackberry, charred meats and minerals on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish with firm tannins. The best Levitation to date. Really delicious Syrah that will benefit with time in the cellar. Best over the next 5-7 years.

My rating: 93 points.

I’m not a big wine club guy but if I had to pick one from Washington, Sleight of Hand would be near the top of my list.
